One of the main features of the island is its countless beaches. Successive, vast, with naturally bordered rocks on the west side, which are usually deep, cool, sandy or with small pebbles. Small, friendly, in coves or in residential areas to the east, with sand or pebbles. Many of the beaches along the coast are accessible either by sea or on foot and unorganized.

All the western beaches offer the visitor a unique spectacle at sunset, as the shades of blue become one with red and gold, and the sun seems to sink into the sea.
